What a shallow comment!!!

How about requesting one certain person to go on diet (and may be a bit of occasional fasting too) in order to check the soaring prices all over the globe? This sounds pretty shallow suggestion, right? Well, that certain “shallow comment” does invite such shallow suggestions. What say? Yes, by now you would have guessed who I am referring to :)

hilarious...

I am reading a novel (memoir/non-fiction); till now, it is very interesting. I found one particular piece of joke very hilarious. It’s in a context where son says something really stupid and mother comments like this (not an exact quote):

“Sonny, if your head gets any emptier, it will float like a balloon!”

ROFL :-) that was really good comment! I could not resist thinking – if it was true, how many times my head would have floated till date and how high! :-))

Joy of a new dress…

… is multi-fold when it is designed and stitched by me. I am not sure how I started off with this crazy hobby, but it gives me a great pleasure to wear my own design. My limited vocabulary does not have a word to express it appropriately. It is like the joy you get when, on a fine day, the plant you have been watering presents you with a beautiful flower.

And today I passed the litmus test! My little cousin is a good critic of mine. When I need honest opinion I ask her. Many a times, her honest (brutally so, some times) comments helped me improvise. Today, after thoroughly examining a dress, she declared – “umm… chennag holkonDiddeeya kaNe”. Heheh.. that was an unexpected bonus! :-)

I like Angelina…

… Angelina Jolie. Not because she is a film star; not because she is rich and famous. I like her because of her compassionate heart and good mind; because of her philanthropic work. I admire her for her commendable work as an UN ambassador and great work she is doing in helping those refugees. Keep up the good work, Angie!

Looking forward to...

I have traveled by many transport modes till now. I have traveled on foot, by bullock cart, coracle, boats, buses, cars, flying machines, etc; various types of it. No need to mention that each has got it's own thrill :-) But, I have not traveled by .............

....... guess what?

.
..
... by train!!! Other than the toy trains in the amusement parks, I have not traveled by the real trains! Let alone traveling, not even boarded it; did not even enter the rail station till now! I am wondering why train tickets are most sought after things? I have seen my friends struggling for months to book tickets! I am wondering what is in it? Now, we are planning to travel to KodaiKanal by train next week. I am excited about it; eagerly looking forward to my FIRST train journey!!!
